UK Crazy asking prices these days!

Post by Pod »

Look at this one on ebay. At first glance, it appears to be OK - but read on to see what it failed its MOT on and you'll see that it really is a rot box. I would imagine it has corrosion in all of the usual places - and probably more besides. I've broken far better examples than this!

The vendor (a dealer by the look of it) justifies his price by noting the prices for the very best examples out there. Sadly the days of cheap E24s for restoration or dismantling in the UK are now gone. :(

Too bad about the rust. The wheel arches don't even cover it all. I would gladly trade interiors with mine though. I don't see any cracks in the dash and the leather seems intact. That's the trouble with Texas, no rust but the interior gets baked to a crisp.

Unbelievable. It looks as though these two are just riding the market, well hoping at least.
