That's a nice looking car. I think Royal Blue looks very well on an E24.

From memory it's a fairly high mile car but has had a lot of work done to it.

It's an optimistic price, It will be interesting to see what it eventually sells for.

I'm not going to knock the price as I feel E24 M's have been undervalued for way too long although I'm not sure it will achieve £65,000. No doubt the asking price is being driven by the recent sale for £100K of the 15,000 mile car. The market will decide what it is worth.

Here is the updated advertisement.

In fairness, it's a stunning looking car. It needs to lose the M6 badges though......it's not an M6, it's an M635CSi. The sill and door trims are not correct either, they should be chrome and not shadowline. Some of the chrome pieces are now NLA for the E28 based cars.

I had a look at this car when I dropped mine in for service at the weekend and yes it's fabulous.

It's an interesting reflection of the market that when I took my car in for service last year Barney had a similar spec car for sale for £45k which was quite heady. How times change. It'll be an interesting barometer for the M635 to see how quickly it sells given that it's a relatively high mileage car at over 100,000.

Incidentally did you read the piece in Classic & Sportscar about the Earl of Pembroke who bought the £100k car - he intends to use it properly and not bothered about adding on the miles - joins quite a rarified collection.

I think dealers just put up a price and see who bites, it will be very interesting to see if it sells quickly and for how much. I do think prices are on the rise though.

Interesting that the new owner of the £100,000 car is not worried about putting miles on it and letting it age. Here is the article;

I love it when a collector USES his toys. Like Jay Leno, he's just as apt to be driving a million dollar Luso as a VW bug. Even the oldest stuff gets driven regularly.
