Remote Oil Filter Adapter Kit

Post by Jordanmilos »

Hey Folks,

I have a few remote oil filter kits from a run I did years ago. As seen in the photos, kit is similar to the one E34.net had years ago, or something along the lines of what VAC sells now.

The remote filter mount uses 3/4-16 threads which is used by many manufacturers. Go cheap with a Fram PH8A, get a premium Mobil 1 M1-301 or fork over the $20 for an Amsoil EAO15 filter and enjoy 25K of filter life.

With the kit, you'll get the adapter block, all of the necessary -10AN fittings and swivel joints (45 & 90 degree), block bolts, and 10 feet of stainless/nylon braided hose.

Along with the remote filter upgrade, the adapter block has plenty of room for feed lines or temperature senders. I can drill additional holes and cut threads, I would just need the info ahead of time. Also, you can incorporate an aftermarket oil cooler for a relatively decent price, in comparison to the custom BMW kits out there.

Everything you see in the photos, shipping included within the US, for $200. I can do international shipments, but it will come at an extra cost.

Where do folks typically mount this? I've got an M30 engine in my 633CSi. Pictures of installations would be helpful.

I'm not sure where others have ended up, but mine routes through the driver side headlight opening and down behind the front spoiler.

Disclaimer, I have an euro front bumper and a small block Chevy radiator, so things are a bit different up front.
