1984 745i

Post by Freshbread »

Kind of torn with putting this one up for sale considering how long it took me to find, but here I am posting it. These are increasingly rare due to the fact the car was never intended for the US market, so finding one of these 250hp turbo charged in line six cruisers is getting more difficult. Throw the fact that this one is Alpine white with anthracite water buffalo hide interior makes it particularly rare.
Just a little history, the car was bought new in 1984, and imported to Texas. It eventually began a long residence in Southern California, even have the original blue plate, until it became a gross polluter. It was sold to the brother of the gentleman I eventually purchased the car from, and was parked for a year in Georgia. The car made it back to California where it was parked again until I purchased it sight unseen. I have owned it for about a year, and a half drive it every week, car has 136k miles. It is accident free, clean car fax, and other than small surface rust in a few spots it is pretty much how you would expect a car that has spent most of it's life in the southwest United States. Paint is tired, and the car has your typical dings. Interior is in good condition, leather has zero rips, and has restored rather nicely. Dashboard has a cover, but is cracked. The tires are round and hold air, but they need to be replaced. About 10lbs of hardware re-plated, and powder coated parts. It is far from perfect, but a straight driving project car ready for further restoration. For those who do not know me I have been fortunate enough to build some nice BMW's over the years, and I don't sell junk. I try to be as transparent as possible, and want this car to go to an enthusiast.
