I'm looking at putting up my restored 1985 Diamond Schwarz Metallic with Ox Blood Red (Taurus Rot) interior. The Taurus Rot interior is one of the rarer interiors, and really compliments the black well. The car was manufactured in November 1984, so a very early '85. What is rare about this car, is that on the original dealer order, it states that it is code 0902, which is a Press Car. For about a year, the car spent its time with some press agency (unknown) and then finally sold in November, 15, 1985 and spent most its life, that I can tell in Florida. It did make it to PA shortly before I purchased it, but I don't think spent more than a year there.
I spent over 3 years restoring this car, but kept the engine in since it was in great shape. Looking at putting it on AutoTrader next week and other online sites, but wanted to post here first to see if there was any interest. Car has about 145k on the clock and starts up wonderfully - never any hesitation or stalling. Smooth shifting and drives like a dream.
Car is 100% rust and leak free and had a certified PPI done in the fall of 2017 to check all the mechanics. The shop who did the PPI said he had not seen a car in this condition in over 20 years. Here are all the things that I did to the car and a few things that still need to be addressed. Since we have a 7mo old, and I need room in the garage, I don't have the time to finish the small remaining bit. I have invested over $25k into this car over the past 3 years...

If you are interested in the car, and would like more photos, I ask that only serious inquiries please. I am asking $18,500 and would be willing to entertain reasonable offers. If you want a local PPI, that would be at your own cost, and shipping is not included. Here are some photos, but I can post more later this week.
Along with the sale would go any additional or extra parts that I have in storage, along with the original 1985 635CSi Workshop Manual from BMW, new owners manual, and a few original '85 brochures.

Black with Ox blood is such a nice combo! Good luck selling!

Beautiful color combo and nice work! As someone who's taken a bath on the sale of several objects of passion over the years, I'd encourage you to try and make some other kind of sacrifice than to sell this car. It sounds like it's been a real labor of love for you. At least don't sell unless you can get very close to your asking price and feel good about it afterwards. Your car is special, not just because of all the restoration work you've done but also because it's rust-free and (as an '85) has the desired 265 tranny.
