Post by Ronnie Wilson »

Hi Guys

Just came across this 1985 B10 3.5 Alpina coming up for Auction at www.brightwells.com on the 26th September. Not my type of thing but some one may be interested. Estimate between £20000 -£25000.

Does need some rust repair by the look of it. Am I right in saying that it's not a true original Alpina or is there no such thing - were they all conversions?

all converted for the UK market

they'd take a stock 635csi, en engine would be shipped over from germany, that would be fitted along with suspension & spoilers etc

Engines were not shipped from Germany. The existing engines were modified to the Alpina specification at Sytner Nottingham.

Mark Adkins, one of the Sytner engineers who used to be part of the team who modified the cars, did a presentation a couple of years ago at an Alpina meet there.
