Parting 1981 633csi...California car.

Post by billy bee »

Greetings, all:

New to Sharks, but jumping in with both fins. We bought this car to make it into a race car. So, we are selling lots of trim, interior, and non-essential parts. Car is a California car, with about 135 k miles on it. Very reasonable prices. Will box up shipments weekly.

Here's a short list of some of the stuff we'll be selling:
  • front and rear bumpers
    front grille bits
interior bits, including door cards in good condition (chocolate brown color)
dash cap (not the actual dash but a plastic, cosmetic-only cover
all glass, except for the windscreen
    turn signals
A/C components (although we are unsure of the condition)
sunroof motor and all assemblies (that whole shootin' match is coming out)
You get the idea. In general, we are selling anything that doesn't make the car go, stop, or turn.

Let me know what you need, make an offer, and we will ship it out. All offers considered. Prices will not include shipping.

Thanks,
Bill

I’ll try to get pictures of parts up in this thread. In general, CA cars are rust free, but they take a beating in the sun. The paint is faded, for example. The dash is cracked. So, I’m not sure how good the rear parcel shelf looks. I thinks that’s where the speaker pods are, right?

Anyway, please post questions here. I hate PMs. Sorry. If you prefer, email me at motobill at gmail.

Thanks,
Bill

Greetings:

Please make offers on the parts. I am not a 6-Series guy. I don't have time to do a ton of research to set parts prices, but I do want to sell parts. My preference is to sell slightly below market to move stuff faster, but please be fair and I'll be fair in return.

Here are some pictures of the parts that people have expressed interest in so far. I'll keep them coming as the requests roll in. I am waiting on pictures of the tool kit, door seals (both sides), headliner, rear speaker pods, and kidney grille inserts.

That seems very fair to me, Richard. I’ll see how much to ship to AUS. Can you get me an address?

Do you have the spare tire cover? It's a plywood disc (series 1 version is plain--no holes). -JM
