Sold-79 euro 265 cr, 3.07 diff, driveshaft, + shell

Post by rchearty »

I can’t seem to sell this car as one piece, so dropping the drivetrain is happening within the next 2-3 weeks. Everything has 128k miles. Engine is already spoken for, but everything else is up for grabs. I am in akron ohio and really do not want to ship somewhere.
Trans-$1800
Diff- $1200
Driveshaft- $200

PACKAGE DEAL- trans, diff, and driveshaft for $3000

Clean shell $600

The value of anyrhing is what someone is willing to pay at the time (and Location) of the transaction

Your dilemma stems from the lack of demand in your area along with your resistance to shipping the items

You can ask the going rate for your parts if you’re willing to work with a buyer who will likely require you to ship the item

You can also ask the going rate for the parts if you have local demand

Unfortunately I feel that the $2k offered to you for an engine less roller is generous.

I’m not the only used parts supplier unwilling to pay retail for parts that have to be removed, cleaned, evaluated, marketed then shipped for what I paid for them

Thanks for the input. I will re evaluate if I will have to ship the items instead of staying local once the parts come off. Do you have an idea how much cross-country shipping is?

If the engine is still in situ, why not insist that the buyer takes the whole car and disposes of the parts he does not want. It’ll save you the bother. The engine is probably one of the less desirable parts anyway, so why split it? If, on the other hand you are keeping the engine, then you only have yourself to blame!

Hello,

I’m interested in the whole car and drivetrain. I remember seeing it on CL but it disappeared. Shoot me a PM and I’ll give you my cell. Thabks!
