These shocks aren't meant for lowering springs, the B8/sport shock is what you would have preferred. But if you didn't like the ride, don't get the B8's as they are valved the same, just shorter overall height for adequate travel with lowering springs.

According to the Bilstein website, both B46 0608 and P36 0233 are B6 shocks/struts.
