Having unexpected acquired an M6 I now have two e24's and so the one I have just restored to keep I now want to sell. If you've following my write up you will get an idea of the care, work and money which has gone into this car - money wise it's cost me around £17k - so I'm certainly not doing well out of this sale, however, I'm very pleased to have the M!
Main points are - it's rust free, very good wings, doors (with metal seal strips), boot lid, inner wings and roof had no rust. Engine is strong, mileage is quite high at 163k, but very little wear when I rebuilt the bottom end for reasons you can read about. New seals, bushes, mounts and pipes everywhere, dogleg redone by All Gears, all and hydraulics and braking renewed. I think its a 25% rear limited slip diff - not an expert but it works fine.
New genuine (original spec) wheels, new tyres. High back Recaro interior - original. New headlining, replaced carpet, door seals and all other seals good, no cracking to window seals. Jacking points as they should be.
Rear suspension rebuilt, front sub frame has steering box reinforcement.
Quality bare metal respray, 12 months MOT, little service history but have build sheet behind rear seat confirming original spec of car (as you see it). I have all bills and invoices. SOLD

Good luck with the sale, I can attest to the amount of work that has gone into this car and am in awe of the skill employed: someone is going to get a very good deal indeed.
Cheers,
Rob

I can only echo what Rob says, that is a great car at a great price.
There are few e24's for sale with such a comprehensive build thread showing the amount and quality of work that went into it AND the genuine reason for sale.

Thanks Rob and Don - kind words! Deposit has been taken - sold to a classic car dealer / enthusiast so pretty pleased. Now I can afford to put TRX tyres on the M!
