For crying out loud!
For some reason I am unable to respond to private messages!

So, yes please, I would very much like to purchase a speedometer, and an antenna.

I am sorry to be responding to a PM here in a public thread.

It's because you have fewer than 5 (?) posts. I forget the actual number, but you have to have x number of posts before you can PM.

Well, I received my private message easily enough.
But the notion of having to post a certain number of items before being able to speak to other members privately precludes new members from being able to comfortably make purchases from other members.

Maybe it is just me, but I would think new members to a car forum are looking for things for their car...not just answers, but actual physical parts. :)

So I will keep posting in this thread until the miracle of free communication suddenly takes place. :)

Looking for power window switches. Some of mine are twitchy. Also a trim piece from inside the trunk. It's the first piece you come to under the rear deck. Can take a picture later.
Thanks

I just wanted to say, I got my parts, and they were everything I was promised!
I could not be happier. :)

Now, what are the chances you have black floor mats, and perfect rondelles? O:)

Parting out Fritz

Post by rhanley 635csi89 »

Rainer,
Hopefully you still have the pieces I need.
Starting to reassemble my car after the respray, and in need of new/used/alternative parts:

(2) electrical accordion bellow/gaiter between A column and door. What are other options?  What are other enthusiasts substituting ?

The fuel door flap has a plastic U shaped clip which provides a space between the door and the car to prevent paint from chipping.  Mine clip is broken, looking for a replacement if possible.  Alternate would be to apply some rubber to act as a cushion.  Any suggestions?

Also need part 10 & 11(chrome) of the antenna mast.

Thanks, Roger

Roger, That clip stopper thing is easily available from the dealer. I got one included when I bought a new fuel door but its available separately.
