'84 633CSi / Manual / $1300

Post by Pauly Walnuts »

Good for a daily, cruiser, parts, whatever your heart desires. Despite it being my backup car, I get compliments on the thing all the time. It's a classic from the best years of BMW.
-----------------------------------
Thinning out my BMW collection so I'd like it gone.
I'll possibly be putting up my ('87 535is, 126k, manual, DS, OEM LSD, newer paint, euro bumpers/headlights, almost ZERO rust originally a CA car) soon as well. But I need the E24 gone first and I need to get it cleaned up.
Cars are located in Utah, 30mins north of SLC.
-----------------------------------
PM for contact
-----------------------------------
Good:
Starts, runs, drives, stops
Gets great mpg on the highway, ok around town too
Cheap vintage plate registration
Manual transmission
New tires
New Center Support Bearing
Valves recently adjusted
Bizarrely reliable, starts every time
-----------------------------------
Bad:
Interior isn't great but not terrible
Exterior paint isn't great
Suspension/bushings are worn
Drivers exterior door handle broke last winter
Random draw on the battery, battery dies after sitting for a while, possibly a stuck relay.
AC doesn't work, heat does on full blast only
A few small things don't work. It's 35 years old for crying out loud.

The E28 coming up for sale eventually:

Thanks.

It's a little dirty. Haven't had the chance to get it cleaned up yet due to an injury. But it's a $1300 E24 so don't expect anything too special 😃

It runs and drives reliably. For $1300 that's incredible! You've got me checking on one-way plane tickets and return driving routes....

I'll gladly pick you up at the airport.
I have no doubt it'll make it down to AL.
Won't be super comfortable drive (seats are meh) but it'll (more than likely) make it.

Honestly, I'm trying to figure out how to get my wife to agree to this. The fly in the ointment is that I'm buying another E30 today (Wednesday) and she wasn't to happy about that. [-X

You have to buy it Ken. At $1300 its a no-brainer! You should see the wrecks that fetch more than that on this side of the pond. Over here I reckon it would be worth 3 - 5x more

Going up on eBay for a few hundred more at the end of the week.

Do you still have the car for $1000?
Look at the posting directly above yours. It was sold last year.
