Well our season is short, so we?ll have to make the best out of it. I needed to know if it would manage a burnout in 2nd gear , I guess it did.

Now with Hella Blacks in the front, well on one side that is! The other side will join the dark side in a matter of days.

First real startup this year.
Now I?ve got the alternator charging, I?ve changed the seals in the breakbooster.
I also bought some new Wheels, I Think they look quite ok.

Fantastic engine build! What did you use to tackle the running system, megasquirt?

Im so curious about this sort of thing, how to run an m30 with itb's, also, how do the individual coils work?

Hey Carneskold.

So you're running 8.5 " rims up front with 12mm spacers. What off-set and what size tyres? Did you have to roll the fender lips?

Thanks, Chris

I use Haltech EFI this allows me to use wastefire coils.

I dont know the Et of the rims, but I havn?t rolled the fenders at all.
I use 215/45-17 in the front and 245/40 in the rear.

These cars swallow wide Rims.

So true. My 635 has 8.5 x 18 front and 9.5 x 18 rear, 235/40 front, 255/40 rear with no rub. The wheels were E36 fitment (45 offset) so I made 4 25mm hubcentric spacers to poke them out to the normal 20-ish offset.

Some more pics from this summer.
With some friends in Nyk?ping Harbour, where there is a carmeet every wednesday all summer long.
Image

Bmw 2800 -69 with S38B38 Engine with tripple Weber DCOE 50s (only one in the World). 371Bhp.
Image

Did some streetracing one night. Didn?t win but it was fun as long as it lasted. Got beaten by a 700whp bmw turbo on slicks.
Image

Last weekend I Went on a trip to the South of sweden, 1000km in one day. The sixxer behaved great and 12,5liters/100km, which must be guite good considering the engineperformance.

South of J?nk?ping waiting for a couple of friends.
Image

They finally showed up.
Image
Some great forrestroads, felt like driving in the alps.
Image

Pitstop for fuel.

At Ring Knutstorp

The 6 looks nice with those big acs wheels on. Yes that's very impressive economy from the m30 with open velocity stacks and big cam.
With high compression if u get the tuning right the economy should be reasonable.

Time for a late update.
The e24 is nolonger NA [-X

Last Winter I turboconverted the Engine and changed the fuel to E85.
The conversion was smooth sailing, new tubular exhaust manifold, new fuelpump, new 1000cc injectors, new turbo t70, intercooler, and the manufacturing of a new plenum and a remapping of the ECU.
Still running the stock 10,3:1 comp ratio.

at 0,7 bar.

Video.
Before remapping of the ECU only 0,4 bar boost

That's a nice upgrade. E85 is a wonderful thing allowing the responce with a 10.3:1 comp with a turbo.

That's some healthy power on moderate boost. Notice the drag slicks. What time does it run on the 1/4 ?

Yeah its a wonderfull combination combining high compression with a little boost! :-({|=
I havn't driven it on the 1/4mile yet, only on the street!
I might try the track next year. 😀ðŸ˜
