Thx in fact the weather is starting to get better now so it's time to enjoy the ride. In Summer the AC is barely sufficient to overcome the heat

Beautiful.

Classy car, and it fits the setting perfectly.

What do you do over there, or are you from the area originally?

Hi thanks, I am with you it somehow fits the scene and the background complements the looks.

I am originally from Lebanon but based in Dubai working for Multinational IT company, covering Middle East and Africa

Looks great against the Dubai backgrounds, what's the local speed limit on the highway? Did you have the interior redone as well? Those front seats look brand new too.

Speed limit averages 120 km on Dubai main Highways and 140 between different Emirates Cities (ex Dubai - Abu Dhabi Road). Interior seats are reupholstered with Genuine leather and grey stitches as originals came with grey Fabric cloth

Wow, that car is perfect! Stance and wheels, everything! Two questions, how did you lower it, and did you have an independent upholsterer hand make the seat covers or did you order pre-sewn leather kits already made?
The seats are gorgeous, the pleats stand up nice and thick. My original sports have the pleats completely flat, with just the stitching across the panels. I've wondered if that was the look from the factory, or if they originally looked like yours?
Congrats on a well done car!

Hi Bill, I appreciate your nice feedback. First, the car was imported from Japan as is so I didn't work on the stance but I know that the rear has Bilstein shocks and I think it needs 20mm lowering in the front (which is my next project). As for the upholstery yes I has an independent upholsterer do it, I just asked him to put 5mm quality padding on the back if the leather and to stich the padding to the leather before covering the seats. I also chose a matching grey stitching color. This maid a big different to the seats and doors and added comfort to the seats.

Hey there. Maybe try some e90 top mounts as they wil lower the car 10mm or so without losing any suspension travel.

Hey that's a good idea. Thx. is it a direct fit on stock springs?
Do you know which Bilstein HD front shocks I should buy to replace stock ones?

Thx dear I watched your car thread and you gave me the inspiration to buy my First Black six ;)

Madman,

Your car is beautiful. But the interior is truly exquisite, the finest I have ever seen. Congrats!

I'm 99% sure they bolt strait in
With bilstein they have a heavy duty ( m635) or a sport (with short stroke for lowered spings). Others have used koni yellows adjustable which I have used on other bmw's to great effect.
When I refresh my suspension at some stage will either go coilovers (if I can find a soft set) so I can have the front geometry adjustable or koni yellows.

Hi thanks for the support. Yesterday I installed M-tech springs and Bilstein HD with original top mounts and I added a strut bar I recently bought from Cosmo racing and the car feels so firm and sporty, what a difference. It handles and corners great with a nice 20mm front drop (rears already had this same setup when I bought the car). I am soo happy now

I recently changed the heater valve, installed new M-tech front springs and Billy HD fronts, Cosmo Racing strut bar, gave it a wash and parked my beauty. I took the photos below, hope you like.

Hey Madman,
just a quick question...since Dubai is also somewhere in the middle of the desert, how do you deal with all the dust layers on your car on a daily basis?
I mean, here in Northern Mexico for example you get out of the car wash and 100 yds later you can already appreciate a new thin layer of dust on the hood
Kind of frustrating (but perhaps much better than humidity all year long  )
Just checking...

I own 3 black cars and experience tells me that waxing the cars professionally gives you exactly the look you are looking for and relieved you from quick dust And dirt accumulating. I make sure my car is well polished and waxed, and every 2-3 washing I give it a hand wax job using Maguiars spray wax (for black cars), using micro fiber cloth. I use Maguiars special shampoo with wax additives and I do my best not to park in Sunshine. The wax gives your car a much smoother surface for dust to accumulate. Sometimes I just wash my cars with water alone and try to use pressure air to dry it (in irder not to scratch the surface using cloth towels). In simple terms you need to give professional TLC especially if you have a black car... But it's definitely worth it
