Hello Phileas
Beautiful photos , I'll have to take up that offer to drive over and visit ........
Your car and bikes are superb , there has just been the annual vintage /classic bike festival in our town and I'm sure you would have enjoyed it . I can offer mountains too ,but just not so high......
As I said ,magnificent photos and a delight to see where we all live around this world.
Cue thread methinks .........

Hello, gorgeous car, fantastic work.
I am in the midst of a project where I am installing heating seats and redoing the radio console.
I had been thinking of putting the E30 style buttons for the front seats on the rear of the parking brake. I realize you have them on 2 different locations, so I have to assume you installed the buttons for the front heated seats below the radio and that the ones on the rear of the parking brake are for the back seats? That's impressive. I am not going to heat the rear seats though, there's never anyone in these! But now I am wondering whether it's not going to be weird to have the buttons so far back... Thoughts?
Also love your voltmeter. Do you recall where you found it? I'd like to do the same, just not easy to find the right one (size, color).
Thanks

I don't want to hijack this thread but this may be of use as an alternative .francoid wrote:Hello, gorgeous car, fantastic work.

I bought 6 of them and keep them in all our cars for checking. You have to ensure the cig. lighter is wired through ignition and is off when key is removed but I checked them against my good quality multimeter and they are accurate .
The display is red and matches the e24 dash perfectly .

Hello Don,
No problem.
If someone wants to have the volt gauge, you have to contact Roland. This is the guy, who also offers the oil pressure and Temp gauge.
It was special made for me, but I'm sure that he will produce some more.
Only disadvantage-tall persons can't read it that good. Maybe you should use another slot.
In a E30 it would fit much better, due to the upper row of free space.
To francoid: front heat switches are original E24 and very difficult to find. You can use the original slot below the steering(optional slot for power supply). For behind I used the entire wiring of a E30 with the E30 switches. I only had to use some extra cabel to bridge the distance to the back. If you use at night all 4 heaters your battery voltage is at about 10 volt.
Hony

I'd love to get in touch with Roland about doing some of these gauges.
As far as the switches go, yes I realize they were horizontal, I believe the switches are essentially the same but the markings are rotated 90 degrees from the E30. Having the same issue with the window circuit breaker, I am looking for people who can print markings back onto switches
Thanks again
Francois

It's such a nice landscape up there. Some day I need to bring my M635 there too.
Is your front licence plate properly mounted. It looks a bit tilted.
Will you bring Cosmo to munich on the weekend?

Yeah, driving licence is properly mounted, but a little bit tilted- your right.
Whats up in Munich? Why don´t you visit the Lake of Constance and then drive through the alps before it starts to snow in more than 2000 m height. Kaiserslautern isn´t that far away, when you got a luxury touring coupe with big engine.
Sorry for the weekend, I have to work with a "mid-class" 4 liter engine, 75 horsepower, 11.000 operating hours, still equiped with first clutch, first transmission, first engine; daily driven at the hop harvest at the moment... or is it on Sunday?
hony without cosmo, but 4 cylinder and lots of torque.

It's the BMW Festival and BMW club meeting especially on Saturday. Just wondered if you were registered too.
Well I want to do way more tours but failed so far due work and participants. Don't underestiamte the distance. It's 300-350 km to Lake Constance
But I want to do a summer tour to Vorarlberg anyway next year. So why not take the M
Nice Fendt. I could offer an '57 IHC D-217 Farmall. But only used for private purposes.
