Cars and Coffee - Scotts Valley, CA Edition

Post by songzunhuang »

So just down the street from my place is a place called Canepa Design. They host the most awesome Cars and Coffee event. Canepa restores classics as well as the fabrication of race cars. They can build/fix anything. This morning was the last one of the season and I finally got to meet GreenShark, one of our board moderators. Here's a few select BMW autos that were there this morning.
One of our moderators, GreenShark, inspects a future purchase?

Too bad the board only allows 4 pics per post. I'll create a Google Album and attach a link later.
It's so fun to be able to inspect the cars and see the workshop. They do not treat it like a museum. There are an amazing assortment of cars there. Multiple McLarens, Porsche 918 hybrid, 959s, Ferarris of all types (including a 512BB and a GTO), NSXs and more late model Porsches than you could shake a stick at.

If you are ever in Northern California and near Scotts Valley, email me and we can meet up! Canepa is open most of the time and the museum/shop is free and open to the public.

If you use a "hosting site", i.e Photobucket, you can post as many pics as you want.As an experiment, I tried so see if there was a limit. When I got to 200, I stopped, but it must be possible to go on ad infinitum.
They are ALWAYS rustier than you thought!!!!!!

The more I see of the M1 the more I would like one, especially photos from members rather than publicity shots.

Thanks for the photos.

Couple more shots of that absolutely sick ///M1 Procar \:D/

Great to finally meet Song as well, many of you have been following his "bringing her back to life" thread on his '84 633 =D>

This car apparently sat for 5 years requiring him to have to sort through virtually everything [-X

Back to Canepa, come next spring, every 2nd Saturday of the month they host C&C, an event for you bay area locals not to miss

One point of interest is that there are NO prices on the cars on the showroom floor

I guess if you have to ask, you probably can't afford it #-o

At least in my case, if I have to ask, I don't. I don't want to embarrass myself or waste the seller's time. I'm sure it's off-putting to a seller to see a potential customer's jaw drop to the floor when told the price. :D

Originally only four e26's were finished in Basalt-Blau all of which went to executive board members & the Quandt family collection.
Very cool - Thanks for the pic's..

Here's a link to the Google Photos Album with pictures from the event.

Also I'll upload some pictures I took at an earlier event of the museum in the building. It wasn't part of this week's activities, but it is representative of the "permanent" collection.
