New to me is a 1983 633csi in Bronzitbeige which so far I am pleased with. This car has some miles on it, but it is a garaged California car with no rust or dents and the previous owners provided good care and feeding. Paint is original and I am the 3rd owner. My plan is to leave it stock, but there are a couple of things to do which I could use some advice on:
Wipers won't work smoothly on single wipe mode - they move haltingly - any ideas?
Cruise control doesn't work at all - again any ideas?
Thats about it - everything else works great.

Very similar to my 84 6 in Bronzit beige. If you add the last 7 digits of your vin to your signature we can help more efficiently. Realoem will be your friend if you turn your own wrenches.

Re: My "new" e24
The wipers likely need lubrication, and by that, I mean both the motor and linkage. It all comes apart pretty easily, but pay attention to the stacking order of the washers and nuts on the wiper drive shafts, and the position of the motor's drive arm while you're taking it all apart. The motor itself has a transmission in which the old grease solidifies and needs to be fully scraped out. I used a good quality marine wheel bearing grease duringbreassembly of the mechanisms on my car.
Can't offer much advice on the cruise, except to recommend a download of the ETM and tracing the circuitry.
