Odd colored i8...

Post by GRNSHRK »

So I'm out with the missus a couple of weekends ago in the cabrio (man, what a fun little car \:D/ ) and when we come back to where the car was parked, next to us is an i8

Well, nice, but, check out this color #-o

This brings up a few questions, namely, WTF is BMW thinking, painting cars fly shit yellow [-X

And, who would plunk down 6 figures for this example

We waited for the guy who let his kid play in the gravel to move, alas we got tired of waiting, snapped the pic, and took off ](*,)

So, what do you guys think, am I off base :-"

I realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but still, yuk :-({|=

When they came out with that color a few years ago on the M3/M4, I called it "Bile Duct Yellow". It is hideous. They even use it in one of their national commercials. My wife said "that's not really a color option, is it? Are they blind?" All I can say is that color-blindness must be more rampant than we thought.

Rancid popcorn I say. Some of the new Fiats and others are painted as you'd paint a house a boring flat house paint color YUK ](*,) Or in the case in this i8 "Bold Urine"

Agree Bob, Not a fan of the color or the car. I think BMW made a big mistake making such a crazy supercar and then making it electric. I bet you'd see more of them on the road if they had a big V8 or something in them. My opinion.

BTW, nice e46. It must be a great car with the top down in sunny CA

Thanks Dave, the E46 is a real treat, going topless here in sunny CA 8)

Well then, it's unanimous, that thing is hideous :-&

I also agree that making a hybrid out of a supercar was an interesting move by BMW, not totally surprising, however :-k

And if you haven't seen the i8 Roadster yet, check out my post from Legends of the Autobahn this year =D>
