Hi all

Been lurking here for a little while trying to gather information towards a potential purchase, but am pleased to say I finally have a 6'er to share with you all!

Just picked this up last week, its an '86 635CSI, it needs some cosmetic work but appears to be very strong mechanically and most importantly spent much of its life in TX so is rather clean underneath. My plan is just drive it and address some of the cosmetic stuff, with maybe a nice exhaust and a tune down the road.

I'm actually a lifelong Saab-owner so this is a bit of an adjustment for me but am loving it so far, really a great chassis and a smooth engine, even if I miss the turbo rush a bit. I set out to find something a little different and my boss picked up a nice E30 325is, which is a great car but I wanted something just a little larger and a bit more oomph so the wheels started spinning and a 635 came into the picture. I'm sure I'm going to have some questions for you all in the future but so far I am just enjoying driving it during this oddly warm stretch of January!

Hi yes it is a Saab as well, thats a 9-3 Viggen which is basically their hot-rodded, M3 type car with bigger engine, brakes, nice seats, etc. Sort of a blah chassis but a great engine and a very fun and reliable daily driver.

In less happy news the fuel pump died on my new 635 about 4 days into my ownership #-o

Its fixed now and since there is salt on the roads I wasn't going to be driving it anyway, but hopefully I can get on with the fun maintenance soon!
