Hello, happy to finally join the forum after a few years of lurking! I live in the Minneapolis suburbs and am a long time BMW enthusiast. I currently have an E30, a euro E28, a euro E24 and an F82 as my daily driver.

The E24 is a 1984 euro 635CSi that I purchased in Atlanta in early 2012. The car needed work but was a solid base for the most part. Since 2012 I have been focused on working through the mechanicals and sorting some electrical issues resulting from a rough federalization process.

The car hasn’t seen a lot of use in recent years due to work and family commitments, but I’ve started planning the next phase which will be focused on cosmetics and include a glass out repaint. I also plan to remove the M30 as part of the process to clean it and the engine bay, reseal and redo the harnessing.

Here are a couple quick pics of the car as it currently sits. I’ll start a project thread soon detailing the work I’ve completed so far and to document the upcoming work. I look forward to leveraging the knowledge and experience on this forum as I work through this over the next couple of years.

Irish license plate? Did you know they drive on the other side of the road?

Thanks! A front plate is not required for the car here so the IRL plate was just a decoration to fill the empty space on the bumper... I'm originally from Ireland so I usually remember which side of the road to drive on

Nice to see an Irish 6er! Where are you based? I'm from Galway originally and still get home quite a bit. It's been a long time since I've seen an E24 on the road there

I'm down in South Kerry .
There's actually quite a few E24's up and down the country now .

Fingers crossed I can get back next year when international travel is feasible... I'll certainly keep you in mind! We usually take a few days for some sightseeing and we haven't been to Kerry for a long time :)
