My latest 6

Post by ron »

Thanks for that Dave. It's not quite immaculate as it looks.Sometime it's going to need front wings but I've got a new pair to fit (no repeater holes or holes for wheel-arch extensions) but they are easy enough to drill.I've just replaced the R/H side inner arch protector-all the bolts had to be ground off.Not a very nice job to do (especially outside). Now I've treated the leather it looks good inside and smells glorious. The job list at least is getting shorter!!!

Ron, your car is gorgeous, I always thought sixes looked good in red. Just a quick Q, what did you use to treat your leather? Mine needs doing quite badly, I've been recommended Scuff-Master from Liquid Leather but I'm not sure if it's any good.

Is that a roof mounted aerial I see?

Post by UKDaveJ »

Certainly looks like a roof-mounted one to me. Has the originally positioned aerial been removed (or maybe it never had one...) at some point? Roof mounting does look quite good, but I can't think of a reason why I'd put mine there out of pure choice.

Leather advice for me as well please ron!

Looking real good in red.....

Post by sharkfan »

I've gotta say; these sixers look damn good in red 8) ;

I've got white and blue, and recently sold the black, I wonder if the good lady would frown upon another six addition to the drive  ; I'm sure there's a couple of good looking red sixers up for sale :D

Again, very nice looking drive,

Sharkfan

Kevin, I have a feeling your very nice good lady will definitely frown at the suggestion of another 6'er!

My brother in laws' Highline is also red. I'll post some pics of his F reg later on! Its not for sale & even if it was he paid alot of money for it, but it is an immaculate one previous owner job, with 90,000 miles or so.
Hasn't got cruise control though...., or nice cross-spokes... :D

Leather treatment

Post by ron »

Having tried a variety of cleaners/reconditioners for leather I now tend to use Gliptone products.Their cleaner and conditioner works extremely well and the smell afterwards!!!!They also do a leather paint which I have used on grey, blue and light tan and it's very effective. Not sure what to use to touch-in the black but I'm going to try black boot polish/anti-scuff. Glipstone's site is www.liquidleather.com Phone 01706 819365 Usual disclaimers. TRY IT.

Black electric sports seats, a/c, usual highline extra's.

Maybe I could ask Ivan to copy this text & the pics into the FOR SALE section?!

I'm establishing selling price at the moment, but guess it will be around ?5500-6000, car is based in Bromsgrove, Worcs.

PM or email me if you want to know more.

My bro-in-law & his partner are expecting a child, reason for sale....

Dave :)
