Fairly certain I know this 6er!!!

Post by GRNSHRK »

Gents, checking as we speak, but I am pretty sure that this was owned by the late Wynn Williams :(

I will reply once I find out for sure, but please note that it will make this particular example a very special one, for the bay area 6er community and PSF'ers [-o<

And for those who are interested and want more details, please let us know, we can fill in the blanks for you

Suffice to say that it went thru an extensive restoration 8)

What exactly does that mean? Significant repair work (body or engine)?

Trying to get more details . . .

As Dug mentioned, this is indeed Wynn's Euro, and he put a ton of effort into this example =D>

Complete repaint, molding off/glass out type of preofessional job, no corner cutting on this respray [-X

Interior has been redone as well, although I do not yet know to what extent. The seats have been redone in a very nice fabric that appears it would wear nicely, matching front and rear seats

Wheels and tires have obviously been replaced as well

Once I get more details (maybe Dug knows more as well  ) I will post the info =D>

Whoever picks up this beauty should know it's history, as it was owned by a very well respected member of the 6er community who passed away unexpectedly recently, Winfield Williams :(

Updates . . .

Talked to Paul, claims that it really just needed a cosmetic restoration, as the mechanicals were in decent shape, and the mileage is true

Parts were exchanged here and there as required, but no engine work or anytihng like that. Likewise, the cosmetic restoration did not require any body work, just repaint, and of course, a beautiful job on the seats

It should be noted that Wynn was having problems with getting this bad boy thru CA smog, so potential California buyers should be aware of this, although it is being sold by a dealer :-k

Wonder if the dealer is required to have the car pass smog #-o

Here's a shot from PSF last year 8)
