how many 635's have you encounter? (Encountered)

On July 11, my wife and I were driving in her X3 in Walnut Creek. We saw an 86-89 light blue (Cirrus?) 635CSi at the intersection of Newell and Broadway. The female driver made a right turn on Newell Avenue. License tag "Jetland".

Having just landed in the Canary Islands for a family summer holiday, we soon pulled the rental car into a randomly chosen supermarket to pick up a few supplies. Alongside the store is a used car lot, and I was rather surprised to find a familiar shark nose in the line up.

Not sure how desirable 635s are in the North Atlantic, but €13k for an untidy 224k Series 1 seems a trifle ambitious to me.

Post by GRNSHRK »

OK, who was cruising down Sunnyvale Ave last evening around 5:45 in the afternoon of August 12th, I was in my white Dodge Dakota P/U and waved with a big thumbs up sign

It was a royal blue ///M6, not sure if it was an '87 or 88' however :-?

Surprise this morning, September 1st . . .

Post by GRNSHRK »

OK, we're back in Sunnyvale, but hey I live here

I'm pulling onto 101 freeway this morning about 7:10 AM and coming over the Fair Oaks overpass is a dark colored US version, guessing by the front air dam and lack of a third brake light is that it's an '85 :-k

And get this, a woman behind the wheel

I know, I was surprised as well #-o

Hopefully you're here and will speak up [-o<

There has yet to be any responses to these posts saying, "Hey, that was me!!!" 8)

OK, who was at . . .

Post by GRNSHRK »

...the Goodyear dealer in Sunnyvale (S&S Tire and Repair) the SAME DAY I was getting new tires, August 13th :-k

The example is a nice '89 black over Natur, Hartge wheels, dark tint, nice overall condition :-k

I stopped by last Friday (September 11th) to get a copy of the attached pic, and it was there again

The owner knows one of the mechanics and was having some A/C work done that day =D>

Hope you're on the board [-o<

I was driving back to work at lunch time today and saw a really clean red 6er driving on Imola.

Is that anyone in here?

Here in CT not many on the road at all.

I think in the past 11 or 12 years that I've owned my car I think I've seen two on the road and at least 3 or 4 parked that never leave the driveway.

All of the sharks I've seen are in decent shape, and I think there are more here but they're more than likely garage queens.

Whenever I do drive my car it's a hassle because people slow down, point, give me the thumbs up or want to race.

When I pull into gas stations I literally get surrounded and asked millions of questions about the car. (people aren't used to seeing these)

Sixer for life........ :D :D

Where I live in northwestern Ontario I have yet to see another 635CSi although I know that there is one E12 version I n this town of 113000 since I almost bought it 10 years ago. I rarely have anyone even give the car a second glance and I don't recall anyone ever coming up to me at a gas station, restaurant etc. and asking me about it in the 4 years I have owned it; maybe it's the colour? This is 4x4 truck country however and BMW's up to recently have been a rarity since the nearest dealer is an 8 hours drive away on a two lane highway.

Wounded Shark!

Post by Soperman »

Spotted earlier this evening, a wounded great white shark stranded on Charlie Brown's Roundabout on London's North Circular Road. Looked like an Alpine 635CSi as the registration was A635LGS.

I was racing to the airport therefore unable to stop and help, so sorry if the owner is reading this. But I hope you got going again without too much difficulty.

In Long Beach going south on Redondo from Willow. A decent looking black six.
Maybe on last Friday?
A little lower in the rear than the front. It was a quickie so not enough time for anything but a wave. We waved to each other and I kept going north.
I was in my Buster, a Polaris Euro.
Are you here?

This appeared in my neighbourhood a few weeks ago. I drive past it frequently but it doesn't appear to be in use.

Anybody on here?

We just returned from a couple days of wine tasting in Sonoma County (Russian River area). While driving Windsor River Road on Wedn, we spotted a black 635CSi ('86-'89). It had a "U.S. Naval Academy" license plate bracket.

Wooow, such a sweet example! :D

Parked just 100m from my University!
A Series 3 ('87-'89) 635 CSi automatic with 205k km.

I absolutely love it, with the 17" Style 5's and the lotus white recaro interior!

This is how mine should and will look once it's finished! [-o<
