Are those the correct seats? Other Alpina cars seem to have different seats if I recall...

Wrong front seats, the rest seems to be correct.

Holy shit, $50K and it doesn't even . . .

...run
All mechanicals have been overhauled, except for injection system which needs to be overhauled to use. The Alpina factory will do this for you if you ship it to them (for an estimated $10,000), or you convert the injection system to one of several modern laptop-based systems as others have done with this and similar classic Alpina models
Nice, er, exhaust too, or not [-X

I realize that this is a rare and special 6er, but geez :-"

Good point - so the car is not a runner then?

Many flags on this one. Not saying it is not real but I would want to see it in person before and know more of the history. Looks like a lot has been done to prep for sale without doing the important items first.

Oh well, I really was hoping to be able to get this one. Nothing specific said about rust or the repairs... ](*,)

Those pictures are over a year old as I contacted the person in CA representing the car over a year ago. I don't even want to call the guy the seller as he knew nothing about the car at all and did not even know if the owner in Japan would even sell it. The guy did not give me a good feeling at all.

At that time it was also listed as an 80 and had a few more miles, same VIN and pictures as in the current listing.

Got a email and it is confirmed that the car is NOT running. Fuel injection needs the service mentioned in the listing.

Something else to ponder; if as stated there are only 153 built, why does the dash plaque read #292??

Also Alpina numbering system was not sequential but random for whatever reason no one can determine.
