In your Realoem diagram, what part numbers are you selling? I'm in need of item number 15 and 13. Though it wouldn't hurt replacing some of the other rubber items. Or are you selling all of the rubber items? Looks like numbers 1,2,3,9,12,13,15. I can't tell from the diagram if item number 1, 10 and 11 are rubber or not. I'm not in front of my car to check. I'd have the same questions for the rear window rubber items.

Shipping to Nevada, USA 89705?

Thanks, Dennis

Hi Dennis,
the only rubbers I am selling at this stage are all related to item 2 in the diagram they are the outer weatherstrip which is attached to the anodised aluminium trim that runs along the outside of the door along the window opening there is one piece which is flocked on the inside that seals the gap between the door skin and the window glass and a lower piece which seals between the aluminium and the bodywork if you have a look at the photo below the diagram it may be a little clearer

I guess I'll have to do another set and photo or video it :)
I have been up to my armpits in an early z car that just happened to pop up at the right price so the 6 series is sitting up on the hoist surrounded by the refurbed trim that I need to put back in it.
there's a few comments in the thread from those who have already received the strips they all seem fairly impressed ;)

I'm impressed by the number of these kits actually sold .
Like others, can I ask if anyone has actually fitted these to their car and can report back on the fitted finished item or are all these sets of rubbers sitting gathering dust around the world ?

Syd , in light of the fact that these are selling well and this question has been asked before would it not be possible to do a "how to " with photos of the components and the finished job. I'm sure that once satisfied every owner of an e24 would consider these to be a " must have " purchase.
I have a spare set of trims/rubbers that I have already disassembled but there are many owners that may be a little unsure or daunted by the prospect of damaging the alloy mouldings.

Ok I'll do another set so you can see how easy it is, although if you have already disassembled a set you'll be well aware how easy it is,

The aluminium clamp flange just needs to be gently pryed open with a large flat blade screw driver with a twisting motion one section at a time, a bit like opening an oyster
This releases the back flanged edge of the weatherstrip which is not glued or fixed in any other way, then you can "unclip" the moulded rubber from the aluminium ( now is the time to repolish the aluminium if you want to ,you need to deanodise it with some caustic [oven cleaner etc] then wet rub with fine paper 400/800/1200,then polish)
Now you take the new rubbers clip them in place along the aluminium trim and gently squeeze the flange that you opened in a 4in vice to clamp the large rubber flange in place.
Its really a very easy operation

I'll get some photos up as soon as I get a spare minute

Thanks Syd ,as I said ,the actual process of replacing the rubbers is straight forward and holds no problems for me but it may be of interest to others .

With respect , I am still looking forward to seeing the rubbers fitted to ensure that the actual profile sits under tension against the glass as per original.
West coast Ireland is a little wetter than East coast Australia ......
I have heard first hand from several purchasers of them how good they seem to be but it would be of great interest to actually see and hear some testimonials .
I'm sure you understand this .

I'll make it a priority I have been tied up with various other "old Bangers" over the last few months ( I was actually hoping someone who has bought a set had finally fitted them and sang there praises ) that's always better than a self promotion I think.
I'll get to it in the next couple of weeks ...... [-o<

Hi Syd,

Thanks for providing this service.
I need only the lower trim 4 pcs, I assume you will sell separately at $35.00 USD.
And would the shipping to 92705 USA Calif, would it be a little lower?
What is your e-mail address for your PP account?

Syd,

How do you remove the lower aluminum trim?
Do you have a YouTube video?
