UK M635CSi #091
Here we go....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122390535237?ul_noapp=true
Only asking £27,995 (its an "original survivor car") - but if you want it brought up to standard, they'll charge you an extra £10k
I just cannot believe what these dealers think they can get for what would appear to be a fairly ordinary car with 117k on the clock - or is it that I have fallen way behind the times

I'd be more worried about the quality of welding, looking at the history it's had a lot of corrosion.. 117k is not too high.

Re: UK M635CSi #091
I was told by the BMW M Registry founders in the past that this (091) is one of the six RHD M635CSi in Agate Green Metallic (177) and the ONLY one with Pine Green Highland Cloth (0190). There are only eight (8) M635CSi with the Agate Green Metallic and Pine Green Highland Cloth combinations. There other 7 are LHD and 2 are in the U.S. This certainly is a very unique car.

Re: UK M635CSi #091
as long as it has service history and chains been done than 117k would not put me off, just reflect in price. there are 200k cars out there in exceptional condition but everyone wants/expects "M" cars with 50k on clock!Mark Shutt wrote:I'd be more worried about the quality of welding, looking at the history it's had a lot of corrosion.. 117k is not too high.

Re: UK M635CSi #091
Price is up now to £29,995.
https://www.fpscarsales.co.uk/used-bmw- ... re-1034955
Presumably the pine green cloth interior has proved too off-putting for most tastes, as the car will now come with a secondary re-trimmed black leather interior.
I'm guessing the timing chain still needs replacing.

Back on again................
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1985-BMW-M63 ... 2950592044?
It did get relisted in January, but I was away and missed the ad.
Seems they have had a "new" £4k leather interior (no pics shown though) fitted. None of the other "improvement" works done as far as I can see, so I am of the opinion that they need to get the important things done first (new timing gear) before anybody is likely to stump up £30k for the car. Why did they not invest the "£4k" into that instead

Because making it pretty seems to be more important to them than making it reliable.

Re: UK M635CSi #091
How did you find out about that, Superman? Was it sold in the same condition as it was when we discussed it previously, or was it restored? Do you know if the “new interior” was ever completed? Any idea of the sale price?
Re: UK M635CSi #091
There is a strong and enthusiastic E24 owners group from Thailand on Facebook, called "Shark Squad". A member posted some images of the car on their group page.
I know nothing about the sale price, but judging by the pictures the car is in the same condition as before (cosmetically at least).
I reached out to let him know how unique the car is, telling him it once had the pine green cloth interior. The initial pictures were of the exterior only, but I THINK the front seats are in black leather.
And then, rather confusingly, he sent another picture of the rear seats (but not the front) STILL in Pine Green.

Re: UK M635CSi #091
I'm told the car still has the Pine Green cloth interior throughout.
I'm glad to hear that's the case. Personally I think it's a great colour/material combo, and not just because it's rare.
Wonder what happened to that £4k re-trim?

Re: UK M635CSi #091
Thank you for the update Soperman. I am very glad that it still has the Pine Green cloth interior throughout. This car is really too unique to replace the interior. If the owner needs any repair/replacement on the Pine Green cloth, I can help source the material - from third party. I have my spare set and I think they still have some left.
Thank you again for the update.
Cheers!!!
