You can tell you're an E24 fanatic if.....

Post by hornhospital »

Another BMW in your collection catches fire, and you debate on whether to use that ultra-rare Gloria brand BMW fire extinguisher from your E24 to put it out.

Add your funny (or serious) E24 experiences to this thread if you like.

I just got out of the hospital (23 days), and literally the first thing I did when I got home was to go see my 635 and see if she would start and go for a quick drive. And, of course, she did, and I was happy.

I carry two first aid kits in the trunk of my 635CSi so that in the event something is needed I won't have to use the "Green Cross" one that came with the car.

...paranoia forces you into messing with your car: the M runs fine...I read that the crank hub is a weak point...I didn't change out the crank hub when I did the chain...I read some more stuff about the hub being a weak point, including the picture of terror on one of the S38 sites...

I buy a new crank hub.

It's the only car in your fleet that you religiously buy extra breakdown cover for because the thought of it being left stranded all alone in the middle of nowhere makes you shudder. My cat doesn't even have insurance.
