Legends of the Autobahn pix

Post by GRNSHRK » Mon Aug 27, 2018 10:14 pm

ladies and germs, as usual, appears that I have become the official photographer for the Legends of the Autobahn car show in Monterey, which just took place last Friday, August 24th =D>

And, also as usual, since I don't use a web hosting photo site, I'll be attaching 4 per post #-o

Starting, of course, with the green shark and a few of her friends \:D/

More to follow

OMG the M1 though! =D> and I like how they put that mismatched air dam on the 320i...it's so outta place. [-X Thanks for the pix man O:) May I make a suggestion to give us more smiley's? On mye28.com they had the barf smiley. I sure could've used that to express my disgust at the poor 70's 320i who was so horrendously butchered so early on in life #-o May you R.I.P. 320i. O:)

Amazing :P

Oh, and who couldn't resist a photo with the Michelin Man :-"

BTW, the guy in the yellow pants is Satch Carlsen, told him he looked like a canary :-&

Sarge (uh, sarge :-k ) it was great to meet you as well =D>

My apologies for not getting you into the row of sharks, I was out taking pix early as the sun wasn't out yet, thanks to the coastal fog still hanging in there, keeping things cool

Saw your post regarding the last 635 produced, this story continues to live on

Speaking of which, don't think we heard the outcome of your interview with the BMW CCA braintrust, Satch and his canary slacks

Jono, glad to be of service \:D/

FWIW, I've taken many photos from our site to use as wallpaper, etc. :-"

Oh, sarge, we'll keep your identity a secret for now :-({|=

Thanks for sharing the pics Bobbo. That's a very impressive array of cars. The new 8 Series and the i8 Roadster are impressive enough, but I can't imagine a show here in Australia that could also include an M1, a Z1 and a Z8 all at the same time.

Lots of great cars there.
It would be nice to go to one of these events. Thinking of going to goodwood FOS perhaps next year to excape the winter along with the gaydon festival which seems in consecutive weeks.

Hey guys, been off line for a while, but wanted to thank everyone for the props =D>

Ellis, I actually expected to see more M1's than the one that Michelin was showing, because the show was dubbed as promoting the 50th anniversary of the 2002 (all E10's, I guess :-k ) and the 40th anniversary of the M1 :-"

There was a shitload of '02's, but I didn't take any pix of them, for some strange reason [-(

Usually see more Z8's as well, but the Alpina Z1 was most certainly a surprise

Oh, Dug, didn't make any other events, me and Pat ducked out around 3:00 and sat in traffic for ever #-o

Bobo, Great pics, I wish I had come this year instead. They didn't even have one M1 the year I went. I think your wife deserves the 6 Gran Coupe for everything she puts up with. :-"
