The triangle piece of the side view mirrors have a internal weatherproof gasket. The parts are NLA, 51211914048, 47. I need both LH/RH. I've search the forums and have not located a solution.
What have others used as a replacement, item # 17 ?
TIA, Roger

Re: Triangle trim gasket
Roger I haven't mounted my mirrors yet but have been aware of this "gasket" for years and have thought about it for many years. the answer I have come up with is some foam self sticking weather stripping available at Home Depot or some such store. It will never be seen so functionality is all that matters. Any type of rubber that will fit, be glued in place, and be compressed to seal will also work

Re: Triangle trim gasket
Oh by the way, #17 is not the gasket for the mirror, it is the gasket for a blanking plate used for a mirror delete. Re check what the mirror requires. It looks nothing like #17
