First Aid Box Position

Post by Boggie »

Hi all,

Managed to finally find an original and unused first aid box. Can anyone help me with the correct place for it and how it is mounted, in a Euro M635CSI please?

Thanks,
Ian

If you have rear seat headrests, the first aid kit sits perfectly into the compartment under the hinged flap.

Sme of the cars have a compartment in the left side panel of the trunk

It doesn't matter if you have headrests or not, there is a hinged flap and a storage area beneath. If however you have the premium audio speaker pods things are a bit different.

The LH cubby in the boot for the first aid kit is not present in all models, and it wasn't even an option in the early cars. You can see in the ETK there are several different part numbers with one that says 'first aid kit only' which is the one you want.

cheers

If you want to display such a rare thing and not tuck it away out of sight then self adhesive velcro strip allows you to attach it to the boot ( trunk ) trim wherever you wish.

Thanks Chaps!

On the LH side of the boot, I have a larger removable panel behind which sits the Jack, chock etc. The kit does fit perfectly in the rear pod but I take the point re putting it on show :) However, I would he nervous about having it stolen at events (Had the original tool kit taken from my Bonneville at an event this summer).

Perhaps bolting it in place in the pod and propping the pod open is the answer. It only cost me 18 quid but took a year to find ..

I have also managed to replace all the missing tools in the toolkit but need to find an original warning triangle. Does anyone know the part number please? Or, is there an alternative?

Cheers,
Ian

From personal experience, an alternative is to keep an eye on German eBay. I’d be surprised if one didn’t pop up sooner or later.

Beyond that, surely someone on here has one they would part with?

Thanks!
Do you happen to know if it is the blue or red type?
