Red 1989 Auto: Rear end damage - loads of new parts
Hey everyone. We had a rather unfortunate incident. I work at an Indy BMW shop and bought a red 89' auto for my brother. We put a mountain of new parts on the car and then it got rear ended by a dude who was texting.
In any case the repairs were estimated at $8000. I may or may not end up transferring everything to a different car but I wanted to post here to see if there is any interest for the whole schebang, as I have 4 current restoration projects underway.
Below is a list of what was put in the car in the last 2000 miles and my shop time to install them - make me a reasonable offer. The car is currently in Traverse City, MI. I can email photos of the damage to interested people but the general description is that both rear quarter panels, trunk lid and fascia got crunched pretty good.

The car lived its entire life in Arizona until this spring. Zero rust. Dashboard however is pretty rough. Rest of the interior is good though.brickwhite wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2019 1:04 pm Can you add some Pictures?

Philip?
I'd be interested in some conversation about the rear ABS sensors. Send me a PM?
Keep the shiny side up

Hey Everyone! I've scavenged a lot of the suspension parts for another car and will be plucking the drive train but the shell and interior are both available. The interior is black.
Please PM me for details, I dont get notifications on thread posts. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I am receiving your emails and posts. My wife and I had twins 4 weeks ago and my house is I.N.S.A.N.E.
I have all the parts requested so far and I'd love to let all of them go at totally reasonable prices, I'll be replying to emails and messages on Saturday when I have a second away from the shop to get back to folks. Thanks for your patience!

Hector,
The down pipes and cat are one piece,
or are you asking to cut off the cat and send just the down pipes?

Re: Red 1989 Auto: Rear end damage - loads of new parts
Hi Brian sorry to hear about your motor, very sad event to have to deal with
I recently purchased a 1989 Euro 635CSI and had some rust on the run roof, seems the sunroof is shot and badly corroded underneath. The sunroof seems unusual compared to what is available on eBay etc and I have a correct Part number for mine, 54121961009 and from what I can see on the web this part is no longer available. I would certainly be interested in your sunroof panel is that was an option for you to consider assuming it matches my own roof panel?

Hello Philip,
Any chance you have an instrument cluster? It doesn't have to be fully functional. I am mainly looking for a decent housing with an unbroken clear Plexiglas cover. Feel free to call of text if you like.
Thank, John 703 623-9424 cell
