Has anyone got any experience of vinyl wrapping?

I've generally seen it on pimped out footballers cars in matt black, but you can get pantone solid colours. Prices seem a lot cheaper than a decent respray and it strikes me that it would give me a bit more protection from the weather.

It won't stop the rust from within, though.

No experience with it other than my neighbour is indeed a 20 something typically naff pro footy player and yes he has an 08 6 series that has been wrapped in white vinyl. Bizarre! Beautiful black car made to look white.

I've also seen a baby BENTLEY wrapped in chrome!!!

Try a company called Covered Uk Ltd, websites www.AdsOnCars.com. They get brand new VW Polos and Smart cars and transform them in into advertising vehicles for estate agents etc.
The good thing is that it protects the paint work from stone chips and any other nasties that are around. Don't go through a car wash or jet wash, hand wash only.
When it is removed the paintwork is like new. I must point out I have no affiliation with this company.

Regards David.
