Fire Sale !! 1987 BMW L6 !!

Post by gpopdaddy » Sat Jun 01, 2019 5:39 pm

ImageI screwed up big time.. I left my L6 idling while it charged the battery up. Not knowing that under the exhaust, a pile of leaves had accumulated. Twenty minutes later, I was inside and heard the car shut off. Went outside to check, and fire was coming up behind the driver's rear tire. Being alone, I had all that I could do to grab the hose, and get the fire out. Well now the car is too much for me to restore, so I'm trying to sell the whole car, or possibly break it down and part it out. Plenty of still great parts left. But some of the wiring melted. It ran well while it was running. Trans is good, motor is good, Black exterior with Alpine White interior. Comfort Seats, automatic trans, Slight damage to the rear deck, but otherwise, I think the interior is still in good shape. Driver's seat needs to be redone though.
Any questions, or pics needed, just ask me.
