Hi All,

Am about to start working on a callender of UK events for the sixes. Just going through all the classic car magasines at present trying to select some good dates and pubs to drive to etc.

Now i spoke with Matt Robinson the other day from TOTAL BMW about a six feature. Suggested getting every 6 model that was made together at one location for a magasine shoot. Need to choose a venue and a date. Please chip in if you have any good ideas.

Anyway Matt loved the idea and asked me to run with it,

Was thinking country house / Airfield in central UK location possible bruntingthorp or Avon Raceway.

Getting loads of sixes down for the day ie more than 20

Line up thought.

Series 1

628csi auto
628csi manual
630cs (If any left)
633csi manual
633csi Auto
635csi Manual
635csi Auto
Hallmark
Alpina B7 turbo
Alpina B7s turbo

Series 2

628csi Chrome
628csi Highline
635csi chrome auto
635csi chrome manual
635csi Highline auto
635csi highline manual
635csi motorsport
m635csi chrome
m635csi highline
m635csi motorsport
Alpina B9
Alpina B10
Alpina B7 turbo

US Spec M6

Racing M635
Racing 635csi

Obviously getting all of these down would be impossible, but if i could get a broad spread i think it would make an impressive article.

Then my next thought would be to approach Classic and Sports Car and get then to cover it giving a different article and slant.

How cool would be a line up of sixes across a runway look.

Anyway can you guys give me some feedback. Do you have a car that would be suitable. Anyone with a rarer car would be great. Obviously this would be shot in the UK, but anyone with a foreign six that wants to be a part is more than welcome.

I think this could make a bit of a sharkfest that was missed last year. Was hoping to make Brands the Sharkfest, but he weather insured that it was not going to happen.

I get Classic And Sportscar delivered from the UK. I would love to see a cover and big article inside crammed full of 6ers. I hope it all comes off.

Regards
Paul

A bit further down, and you'd have Brocket Hall or possibly even Blenheim Palace.

A bit further north (up the A1M), and you'd have Burghley House, near Stamford, Lincs. (venue for the horse trials each September)

My car's available, in principle, James.

It will need a wash, polish and vacuum, though Embarassed

Ivan,

Do you have any contacts for these places as ideally i don't want this turning into a wallet emptying exercise on my part.

We now have two cars

635csi manual chrome
635csi Auto Chrome

Probable have

m635csi Highline Motorsport
Alpina B7s Turbo Kat
635csiAuto Highline Motorsport

The more the merrier.

Bleinheim Palace: sales@blenheimhospitality.com

Brocket Hall: events@brocket-hall.co.uk

Burghley House: HERE

I think that when you are chasing any location on this scale, there will be a good deal of wallet-emptying Sad

Hi James
why not try Stanford Hall Lutterworth Leics
this venue is central in the uk
and if you were to hold this meet on a week day it would be alot less on the wallet.
or one of my favorite venues is knebworth house Herts, straight off the A1/M
or another nice venue is billings (alot of waterways, grass, and loads of ducks and again easy access in Northampton. not expensive i beleive you pay entry per car around £8 to £10.
thanks
boa

Hi James,
I'm up for it.

My '87 auto is of course cosmetically similar to other cars (don't a lot of them look the same??). But mechanically its different, sharing brake system improvements with later highlines....

So you need an '87 auto for a full set....

keep me posted....

cheers

The list continues to build.

635csi manual chrome 1985 (Sohlman)
635csi auto Chrome 1983 (Horsetan)
635csi auto late chrome 1987 (Brucey)
M635csi Chrome 1985 (Sharkfan)

Probable have

m635csi Highline Motorsport 1989 (Ross)
Alpina B7s Turbo Kat 1990 (Ross)
635csiAuto Highline Motorsport 1989 (Ross)
Do we have Boa's Alpina B10?

To be honest, I want to get as many people down to one location as possible. Just about gettng a date and location. Have a lot on at work tomorow, but later on in the week i will make some enquieries. I want at least 20 cars. Need some series 1 cars. Not many of those left now.

James

Well if you're all coming North for the "Lakes and golf" meet, I can come down for this.

1989 M635 Highline - won't be out of the paintshop till mid March though.
