Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

Leonard that oil filter housing looks like it's from a very late car. Maybe you have better than you think. An engine transplant over the years? That surely isn't an early filter set up

Re: Sunroof Cable and Mount

It was years ago for me so hard to remember everything I bought. My car is also an 81 Euro and I have done/am doing a complete ground up on it and have replaced or rebuilt anything that even looked to be tired or worn

Re: Interior roof trim removal?

Just pull down on it. The mounting part has a spring loaded ball at either end that holds it in place. So it just snaps in or out. No one has mentioned it, but when you pull the header panel out, slide it straight back. There are two clips that are attached to it and if you try to pull down you will...

Re: M90 Engine - Serial/production numbers, Specs, Pictures

It's a shame you are so far away as I have an M90 crank that needs to be ground. It came out of my car as I was lucky enough to find one that was standard in mint condition

Re: M90 Engine - Serial/production numbers, Specs, Pictures

I personally would not use a B34/B35 crank as the the M90 has torque that pulls like a freight train due to the shorter stroke. I would concentrate on compression, head work and a reasonable cam which should put you around 260hp and I don't know how much more the stand alone will give but definitely...

Re: M90 Engine - Serial/production numbers, Specs, Pictures

So having had my M90 rebuilt, nothing really mattered as I had the engine bored to where the cylinders cleaned and had pistons made to match with a true 10:1 compression. Where it got tricky, was how much the head was milled and the block decked. The block deck will determine wrist pin location as t...

Re: Getrag 260/6 selector rod Length ??

UUC is a sort shift assembly so it all is in conjunction as a unit. That is not a stock rod you show and again is from a short shift kit

Re: Who can test and repair an OBC?

Try a small little known company in Tracy CA called Fuel Injection Corp This guy, or I should say these people really know what they are doing. Years ago when it was a one man shop I called him about my early Motronic ECU which I never had out during a major restoration and wanted to be sure of. He ...

Re: Oil Pump Upgrade

No more than a 284 grind. You will find Schrick is out and will be for some time. You might try Schneider Cams in San Diego. They can grind you a new one or regrind yours. Ireland Engineering also sells a good line of cams and you might give them a shout What do you really expect a cam to do on a ti...

Re: Series 1 central vs left side exhaust exit

I don't have an original exhaust system but that is neither here nor there. The valance is very clearly made( stamped) for left exhaust not center and it looks great that way. I am running a Billy Boat system. Two separate resonators into one muffler and 2 pipes out 2" from manifold through resonato...

Unfortunately no one seems to have them for an E12 suspension. I was not under the impression that they are supposed to add camber just restore proper steering geometry on a lowered car

I even graduated Hi School and still do that. I missed the no cat cut off by a year, but in AZ if you show classic car insurance they waive it, so I lucked out and have my nasty Billy Boat system
