Re: FS: BMW E24 Parts Clean Out

I'm looking for the rubber strip that sits above the rear bumper on Euro spec models with the wrap around bumper (not the truncated rear Euro bumper). They still sell it new.... https://www.wallothnesch.com/en/covering-center-for-628-csi-635-csi-m635-csi-from-05-1982-up-you-need-1-for-1-car-51-30-0...

How old is the Fuel?

If she isn't ran much I'd check the plugs too, they like to foul when not ran much.

Re: Replacement Exhaust

I have super sprint on my m635, it's louder than stock and now they have factory looking tips. But the design is good if you can wait for shipping.... If anyone goes the super sprint route and wants the larger tipped muffler I will trade + some cash for the OE style tip muffler. http://bigcoupe.com/...

Re: UK asking prices for "restoration projects...................."

If you already own one it's a good thing. But most of us bought them when they were cheap and that's why we own them. It was coming. I've seen it snowball with part pricing, new and used. People asking $250 for one door car because you can'f find them in good condition. OE parts going for crazy mone...

Re: manual transmission mounts

Clean off all the oil and you might be able to tell what is there. The cross brace mounts to the body and the transmission mounts to the crossbrace via a rubber mount. One year only used one trans mount. most mounts look something like this. https://www.fcpeuro.com/public/assets/products/31191/large...

Re: New member - Could you help me with my cars history?

What do you want to know? Maintenance? Unless someone here owned the car there will be no way to tell what maintenance was done. And after sitting for 10 years you are better off doing base line maintenance yourself. Should cost about $2500-$3500 USD if you do it yourself... -All fluids -Brakes roto...
