Re: E24 Windshield Nozzles - Heated/Non
Hey Guys, Thank you so much. Here are some shots of the cutout for the nozzle from the top and the bottom. It looks... altered to me. https://gte619n.s3.amazonaws.com/nozzle-1.jpg https://gte619n.s3.amazonaws.com/nozzle-2.jpg RealOEM shows this car having heated nozzles so any clarification would be...

E24 Windshield Nozzles - Heated/Non
Guys, I am finally redoing my windshield cleaning system. The current system was very hacked up by the PO and I'm planning on restoring everything to stock. I have uncovered a few inconsistencies and was hoping for some guidance. The car is a 1985 M35CSi. I assumed I had the non-heated nozzles but a...

A/C Blowing - Speed Dependant
Hey fellas, So I recently redid the dash and HVAC controls. While redoing this, I attempted to fix the blower switch. Sadly, that was unsuccessful only turning on at full blast again. Now everything is back together, I'm observing a very weird behavior. When the A/C is on, the amount of air blowing ...

Guys,
As part of my dash rebuild, I've been working on the wire harness. I pulled this out from behind the center console and now I can't figure out what it is or where to goes. Any ideas?
Thanks!
E

Fellas, I've got the dash all apart and redone at JustDashes. It is AMAZING. Gauge cluster was rebuilt by Bavarian Restoration and it also is AMAZING. I've been working on the wiring harness behind the dash with tesa tape, etc because I am insane. I've found some broken connectors and some REALLY cr...

HVAC Recondition
Hey fellas, I'm working on my 1985 M635CSi. Currently, my gauges are out and the dash is at Just Dashes getting redone. While the interior is all apart I figured I'd get a strategy together to recondition all the HVAC systems. I'm planning on replacing the transistor on the AC blower motor and lubri...

HVAC Slider Testing
Fellas, I've got the dash out of the interior of the car and I have full access to the HVAC sliders. When I actuate the middle one, I can see the flaps move directly in front of the unit. When I slide the other two, I can't SEE anything moving, and I'm wondering if something is supposed to be visibl...

Dash Wiring Unknowns
Fellas, Just got the dash out preparing to send to Just Dashes. I had a couple of issues identifying some wiring and was hoping the experts can weigh in. The car previously had a BOOMING SYSTEM ](*,) in it so a number of things are hacked around a bit. The car is a 1985 M635CSi, so it's a euro impor...

Owner Manual - Cover
Guys,
I ordered an Owners Manual for the M635CSi and it's fun to have around. I was wondering if these things came inside a booklet cover, binder, etc? It seems a little odd to have it thrown in the glove box without something more substantial around it.
Thanks!

Fellas, the bumper mounts for my M635CSi are all bent up, causing the bumper to be way off center. I'm looking for #1 and #5 from the RealOEM catalog here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/images/diag_4mj.png Part Numbers are 51111909273 (Left) and 51111909274 (Right) Anyone have something available? Window Rattles
Hey guys, I've got an '85 M635CSi and I think that the window rattles are getting worse. I'm not talking about the alignment, mind you, as the windows seem to go up and down well, sealing pretty well, etc. It seems like the windows have a lot of in/out play, as referenced to the centerline of the ca...

Re: M635CSi Shifter
I was considering a UUC kit for the E24. I have one in my M3 (e36) and enjoy it, but I wanted to verify that it would fit. I'm replacing the bushings and the knuckle itself as well.

M635CSi Shifter
Fellas, Could someone tell me if the M635CSi shifter is the same as the USA versions? I've got the transmission apart and I'd like to consider moving to a shorter throw, but I'm not sure that everything would go together the same. Will any ol' E24 short shifter fit (or the M6 shifter), or does the e...

Center Console Issues
Hey guys, So I thought I found a great replacement for my mutilated center console on my 85 M635CSi, but when I went to swap them today, the new part doesn't fit. It's slightly shorter with a different front shape than my original. I'm wondering if I have a different model car, or if the euro M635CS...
