Coleman Racing finished up the new rotors and I got the right side installed today. These are full floating T Locks. Combined with the 3” cooling ducts routed to the front bumper I think we may have solved our rotor warping issues.

Now that the holidays are almost over I've been able to sneak back out to the shop. I've seen a good number of posts lately about big bore throttle bodies. Working with my engine builder he spec'd that I would need at LEAST a 70mm throttle body to achieve the power numbers on the M30 Race Motor. So a quick check of Ebay netted me a 70mm BBK throttle body for a fox body Mustang, complete with IAC motor and TPS. For a grand total of $50!
A few hours in the machine shop and some careful measuring netted me this:
Since I won't be running an AFM it provides an elegant solution for idle control as well as providing the proper TPS for the Megasquirt.

Yes! I obtained a Early model TB to test out that "difference" it makes with porting it. Been a long winter with lots of projects. BUT I did manage to get the MTech Spoiler restored and mounted.
The race M30 is also complete and being shipped back from Top End Performance. I don't think we'll have it done for the May race but maybe the July race. So sad that I have to run the S38 again

The M30 arrived today but I’m going to run the S38 for a bit longer since I don’t want to rush the tuning on this work of art.
I also fabricated a clone Alpina Valve cover like the original group A cars had. If there is any interest I can have a run of the emblems made.

For those of you following on instagram the car is done, dyno tuned and results came back this morning.
270 rwhp on a dynojet. AFR's are around 12.8-13.1:1 and thats only at 6800rpm and the HP was climbing. I'll post pictures of the dyno sheets after I pick it up today.

270 rwhp is on the S38? So around 337hp at the flywheel. That will rocket along.
Great work to date. Love it. No idea there was an insta thread. I've finally found a reason to get onto insta!

The S38 put down about 340 to the rear wheels from an old build but honestly with the 3.91 and the close ratio TKO it’s really a negligible difference. I can feel the power difference on the top end but out of the corners it’s about a wash.

I’ll be pulling the trans this week or next to fully inspect all the parts for any improper wear but wow does that trans shift so much better than the Getrag. It just falls into gear with a blip of the gas on down shifts and slams through the gears going up.

I've got about 285rwhp. With a dogleg 5 speed and a 3.45 locked diff I'm at around 230km/h at 6500rpm. With that 3.91 you must be limiting top speed a little. For me, at the local track, I'm hitting top speed and then breaking for the first corner, so geared pretty good for the track. You may find you run out of revs down long straights.

Shipper, I'm definitely topping out in 4th gear which is 1:1 (your 5th on the dog leg obviously). But I've got a .83 OD for 5th and was hitting about 5800 rpm at the end of the front straight at Indy. which was almost 140 mph. Road America has longer straights but I won't get to try it out till next year but I could easily top 155 mph with the S38 and 3.45 rear end.

Was Class D (Historic) but they'll move me as I won Class D, C and B and was ready to rocket up Class A when the dip stick tube started shedding oil at its base.
