Do have vibration at idle n power throttle which I have not experienced in any of prior e24’s I’ve owned. Tranny mounts were replaced ...

POSTPONED UNTIL our fall back date of Oct 1-3 Monterey County is in Red COVID tier which means 50% capacity with restrictions for resturaunts . That Is not going to work. Also no bars open unless your seated for food. That's definitely doesn't work. Vaccines are all over the place some finished many...

Re: Alternative Front Seats - Later E24 (1987)
Your problem ,if like mine , which it sounds like is, is not in any of the motors but in the mechanical hinge ,like link below which they all have of one sort or another whether electric or manual. The teeth are not visible in any of these pics but they are there between the arm n base. I ended up p...

Re: Alternative Front Seats - Later E24 (1987)
Depending on problem not that easy a fix. Mine did same. Reclining arm gear teeth break after shock goes out then seat back just slams into position eventually fatiguing teeth which break, hopefully not while driving. Mine did, [-o< What a surprise. Doable but not that simple. Some have a spring whic...

I can show you a hundred e24 fender photos and you'd be hard pressed to find duplicates. Whatever they were feeling on assy lines/dealer lots etc is what they did IF at all. NO specific spec as far as i could see from hundreds of photos i have. Caught my curiosity once while at SESF and took shots o...

Re: Magnetic drain plugs
I have them in all six of my BMW 's.
Can't hurt.
Saw someone stuck few magnets around outside of pan. That should work too I'd assume.
After I saw that put a couple around my power steering canister. Can't hurt

How true if you didnt install you'd never know n yes came with car upon purchase.
I like it too n feels more Natural shifting than OE But its too late now ,take a doable repair for reuse plus already purchased OE replacement.

Re: Shift knob
REALLY! I did not know that. Thx,anxious to check that out. For those threaded knobs then did the bar have to be swapped out? Normal shift bar has just the slot on top to push down knob and wedge the clip inside the knob onto bar as far as I knew. Keep you posted as I won't be back at warehouse for ...
