Hello,
I believe I have just what you're looking for... I will have to do some digging though. I'm leaving for Monterey next Friday. PM me if you still need them. I'll be driving down so will be going through the Bay Area!

If you've been unsuccessful, and yours are the correct size. Would you be interested in selling them??? I'm showing my Fiona at The Quail this year and could really use a spare tire that matches...

S38 distributor cap cover
Hi all, I am stumped! I’ve been searching for the distributor cap dust cover for my ‘88 M6. Looking at real OEM, the part is available (#12121716299) and looks correct but that # is the cover for an M30 engine. I went through Seattle BMW who have been awesome in finding parts for this car. It is cle...

Re: Painting Valve Cover
The headers are a coated Stainless. Korman Auto calls it "ceramic" coated and I've also heard it referred to as "hot jet coated". I'm not sure what the coating is (now you got me curious) but they're not polished.

Re: Painting Valve Cover
Thanks Dean,
It was actually your post about powder coating that same valve cover that made me start down the path that led to Renewed Finishes. He kinda talked me into going with the Gunmetal finish. I'm glad he did too as I have no intention of ever selling and it is now uniquely mine

Racing Dynamics Body Kit
As I wrap up my project car I'm left with a few items that I didn't use. The biggest box taking up room in my garage is a brand new, never installed Racing Dynamics body kit. Made of fiberglass, it is in perfect condition but doesn't include the front bumper/airdam section. I will provide more pics ...

WTB - ABS Wiring Harness
I'm hoping someone has an 88-89 6er with ABS that's being parted. I need the wiring Harness for the ABS. What I really need specifically is the lengths of wire for the rear wheel speed sensors (L and R) as well as the connector that hides in the trunk. I need the whole length!!!
Thank you,
Pat

Re: Removal of SRS system
Ok... I'm a dipshit! There are obviously no wires between the SRS and ABS. What I appear to have done is the biggest single mistake I've yet made in this restoration adventure of mine. I cut both rear speed sensor wires and removed them from the wiring harness inside the dash! Does anyone happen to ...

Re: Removal of SRS system
Crickets ;-) I've managed to get that question answered locally. Now I have another on the same topic... There are to wires from the SRS Diagnostic module that go into the ABS Electronic Control Unit. These wires are not on any diagram I see in the ETM. Anybody have any wisdom to share on this? Than...

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?
The dash is out of the car and getting new leather. now that I'm staring at that mess of wiring that seems to puke up out of the firewall I can't help but notice the sorry state of the wrapping after 28 years so... I've spent the past couple days painstakingly re-wrapping the entire wiring harness. ...

Removal of SRS system
I need some knowledgeable assistance. I'm completely removing the SRS system as part of the restoration of my 88 M6. While the dash is out to be recovered I've removed the diagnostic module, crash sensors (L & R) and the airbag safety switch. I'm in the process of removing all attendant wiring a...

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?
Cost was $750, which seems like a lot until you count up the hours it took to polish the raised lettering. Once that was done the powder coating was a 5 step process with new taping for each color.MSGGrunt wrote:Those are really nice looking. Mind if I ask what the cost was?
