Alignment time at the only shop I trust in Houston.
As there is a fair bit of adjustability between the coilovers, camber plates, rear eccentrics on the RTABs etc, it took about 2 hours to get it dialed in.
Driving home was fun!

Brand new, never used. Does not require that you glue it to the frame surround, the elastic at the base will keep it secure. Installation is a breeze..literally 2-minutes. Re: Dinan Turbo Joins The Family
Fron today. Here's a fun picture of my other Shark (1988 Porsche 928 S4 Manual). A car I found about an hour north of where I live, it was left under a bunch of trees for several years, so not a barn find but a "left outside and forgotten about find". And if you're interested, the white Da...

Re: Dinan Turbo Joins The Family
Here' a quick first start-up video with the new exhaust. It's a bit loud as my garage is enclosed and a smaller room, so the sound amplifies.

Re: Dinan Turbo Joins The Family
One thing that has been a bit challenging is trying to figure out which way to go with the exhaust the car. I built a few different versions before settling on the final one. this took a few weeks of work and I finished it this morning. Here is what I removed from the car. Exhaust Before 1.JPG Exhau...

Sure thing Bob.
What pieces exactly?
The shift knob (probably one of the best I've purchased) came from an eBay seller in Poland.
Shift boot came from an Etsy seller.

Tom I'm out of ideas. You're heading down the right track with the distributor swap. The AFM, ECU and coil are typically all very reliable components.

Then bled the brakes! Finally! I'm not sure how many of you guys use this suction method connected to shop air, but it works great, compared to the Motiv Power Bleeder. With the Motiv, you have to be careful on pressuring up the system as to not blow out the clutch gravity feed line which does not h...

Re: Dinan Turbo Joins The Family
One fun thing I did yesterday was fire up the lathe to cut down some bolts that secure the rotor to the hub. You know the ones that have the allen key head that you always get anxious to remove..hoping they don't become a complete circle once you stick your drive in there and start turning. I always...

Re: Dinan Turbo Joins The Family
Nothing wrong with putting all the bolts in one direction. I've studied this ad nauseum over the years. If you decide to alternate it like the arrow heads shown on the guibo, you have to completely remove the driveshaft to replace the guibo, as there is not sufficient room on the trans side to slide...

Re: Dinan Turbo Joins The Family
I had a bit of an unfortunate incident last night installing the drive shaft and torquing the Guibo, my 1/2" Torque wench slipped off one of the M12 bolts and smacked me in the face. At first, I thought I lost a front tooth (as it hit me so hard) but just ended up with a really badly busted lip...

Re: Dinan Turbo Joins The Family
Nice. I have the K Mac rear adjustables - they do a good job of straightening up the rear camber. Also, I applied some of that thick crinkle finished 3m wrap on the leading edge of the gas tank to take the gravel rash Thank-you and agreed on the addressing the rear camber with the eccentrics. Thank...
