Re: Occasional blinker/flasher drop out
I've also had issues with the flasher and led bulbs. I installed a 3 prong adjustable flash speed relay. when I hooked the instrument panel indicator light to the load terminal it flashed , even though the stalk was in neutral position. I had to disconnect the wire so no indicator for me. the lights...

Re: Performance Chip/Modest Engine Mods for 83' 633 CSI
I'm not sure how much you can mill off the heads, but compression is the biggest bang for the buck. I can tell you playing with the air/fuel won't add any power. If you can advance the ignition timing, that you can feel, but you'll be limited by knock to a few degrees max. Advancing the cam timing c...

I'd start at the pump, and double check that your not getting the voltage. It could be the pump.

Re: 89 635csi Turn signal US vs Euro
Basically, you sand down the back edge of the lens about 1/2" less. Then you taper the rear edge to the front edge. I think the taper had a bit of a curve, just match what the curve looked like originally. Sorry no pics, but it's easy to do.

I grabbed an underhood light at a u pull it from an older chevy pickup. It has a wind up crank, 6' cord, and a magnetic base. Not original , but I love it.

Wow, I may just buy a new one, $116 doesn't seem so bad.
I was just planning to maybe add more tension with a stronger spring

left turn signal won't reset
A minor issue, but one I'd like to fix. Turn signal stalk is lazy to reset, after signaling left turn. I can bump the stalk, and it resets off, but won't do it by itself. This is for an 79 early six. Any advice appreciated tia

Re: Hesitation and loss of power after car warms up.
I'd try some heet gas treatment (for water in gas), as well as techron injector cleaner.

Re: Oil leak from mystery bolt
I've had the same leak before. It may be the valve cover gasket, or upper timing cover. The motor lays over at an angle, and often the leaks shows up on the timing tensioner, but is actually from above somewhere.

If you've got nice wheels, get dustless pads, I forget where I got mine. Prior to that I had stock pads, which ruined the finish on my wheels.

megasquirt and m30b35/ 60-2 vr pickup
I've sucessfully gotten my m106 to run using the 60-2 setup from an m30b35, but I'm having high rpm breakup. I've installed an 10k resistor in line, and played with the pots r52 and r56. I've got the vr pickup set at .020" clearance. Previously, I had it set at .030", but couldn't get it t...

Re: Crank no start, then loud bang!
I would rule out alternator, if battery is charging when running (14vdc plus). Low cranking voltage can create slow cranking, which means slow to no pulse.

Re: Crank no start, then loud bang!
I would suspect crank position sender-cps. If you get a noid light from an auto parts store to plug into an injector, that makes a quick easy way to see if your getting a pulse. Plug it into an injector lead when it won't start, it should flicker when cranking. if not your cps is probably the proble...
