Re: Potential charging issues/questions

I wanted to put some closure to this one, turned out to be the voltage regulator :-({|= Thanks to the good graces of Klaus at PSF, I was gifted a regulator, and he even installed it =D> Of course the replacement that I ordered was waiting for me when I got home from PSF #-o I purchased one of those ...

Re: Gas leak?

Hector, number 3 is "possible" (gas cap gasket) but I would be taking a closer look at the 3X vent tubes adjacent to the filler neck, which I would also check, for corrosion, etc. :-?

You will be able to see a lot more once you carefully remove item number 2 [-o<

Re: Rear Brake Rotor source for early E12 based cars

Just to add to this issue, I contacted R1 Concepts and here is their reply, which indicates among other things, that the rear rotors for E12 chassis are not available and no idea when they will be :-? "Thank you for your response. This part number of 631-31007L/R is for the front and the part number...

Re: Early front brake rotors. Cross-drilled and slotted

King John, any updates yet :-k

I'm looking as well, don't need them right now but want to have a set on the shelf, as parts are becoming harder to come by, for these early models :(

I have enquired about the quality, manufacturer, etc. :-"

FREE - old school dwell/tach tester - FREE

Gents, finally going through some old tools and trying to clean out what I don't need anymore :-? Turned up this old school dwell/tach tester, probably not of much use anymore, since I seem to recall that the dwell angle was a function of setting the breaker points, which of course only the very ear...

Jlc, there isn't an OBC in the early series 1 cars :-? Replacing relays certainly isn't a bad idea, but as you duly pointed out, you're just throwing parts at it :-? I think I would look more closely at the wires, relays and harnesses that you jiggled, and see if you can find any suspect connections, corrosion, etc. :-k On a non-related note, how are th...

Well, haven't done anything yet, but did want to share the results of my other workbench, that I did refinish \:D/ The P/O kept adding sheets of MDF as they got F'ed up, so I yanked all of that off, got a piece of finished wood shelving, stained it and then coated it with polyurethane =D> But the fi...
