I now see that the Piston Heads BMW HQ visit will be on 17th September with bookings opening on 29th August.

So no reasons here for not going to Gaydon.

The car owned by Bob Harper which sold for £16k in April.

It looks really nice and has his publication history. He wrote that he drove it to visit a Nurburgring event. Much more interesting story than having sat unused in someone's go nowhere collection. Rgds

Ron's database showed that this car (348) was first delivered / sold in New Zealand. It is always a curiosity what might have been the history of these cars over 30 years. The listing showing only two owners seems unlikely but not sure how this could be wrong. Perhaps only 2 owners in the UK?
