Re: AUDIO GUYS!!! Amp/subwoofer questions!

Here are some basic things you need to do. Run new wires for all speakers. the factory set up used a common ground which is a mess. Ditch the factory head unit and amp all together. I personally skipped the sub and made custom mounts to stick 6x9s on the rear speaker pods. Getting good sound out of ...

Re: Radio power issue.

So there was a loose ground behind the radio. Fixed that for now. I think the issue with the aftermarket temp gauge is actually a voltage regulation issue based on how it responds to headlights or braking, it seems to not like change in voltage. I am going wire in a Linear voltage regulator and see ...

I just went through this last year.

I will look at the part number on the bag and post it this evening. It seems like the price went way up which would suck.

Re: Heater blower transistor failure mystery...

Forgot to post an update to this. I also used the beefier transistor with success. No issues so far and I am running a factory motor (well lubricated) For anyone that experiences this problem save yourself 120 dollars and buy this https://www.ebay.com/itm/BSC-2N5302-TO-3-BIPOLAR-TRANSISTOR-NPN-60V-N...

Is that left one the warning light one.

Thats where the previous owner attached the old after market temp sensor.

that could be the reason I am not seeing a light.

Post a pic of the part you have and I will see if I have the right one.

Also the dealer sells a rebuild kit for pretty cheap.

I have installed my new radio and an after market digital temp gauge. Everything works perfectly in Accessory position, so I did not catch any problems right away. but when the car is on and when the car is driving the digital temp gauge seems to flicker on and off and the radio seems to randomly tu...

The world bumper caps do fit over the rear if you, Tuck the bumper, Drill a hole. And trim them down slightly.

The US one is slightly different.

That one is possible to pull, but requires software that only certain employees have access to.

Our Hero!

Great news. Can't wait to hear how long it lasts.

I managed to grab a decent blower from the yard so I am set right now but I am definitely saving this for the future.

Soldered a new surface mount LED to the board. and peeled off the polarizer and put down a new one. I did the same thing to my Continental radio recently!

Re: Rare Parts Thread!

Did you protoype it in PLA? You could trim it easily if you did. Once it's right, use a stronger filament. I bought some HIPS to experiment with. I have read it makes for really strong parts that can handle the heat of an engine bay. Jose I have been rocking PETG for my car prints. Its got the best...

You could install it without the AC part and just have a rear blower!
