I would like to do the clear corners. or if possible, buy a set of full clear ones so I don't have to chop mine.
I had really good success with using red tint spray on mine to get rid of the amber.

Re: 4x6 Speaker Option
I had the clearance problem
I used the speaker risers that are out of the rear speakers for the e21.
The glovebox still clipped just a bit so I trimmed the part on the side that was hitting. its completely invisible from all angles

Re: Fuel hose questions
I recently replaced mine with 5/16 fuel hose. and cut it to size. I needed to do it ASAP so I did not bother with the dealer and OEM.

Re: Alternative Front Seats - Later E24 (1987)
I love the armrests added to the seats - they look perfect. Thanks! Got the bracket off a guy on R3v. Don't think he makes them anymore but it bolted on to the seatbelt bolt so that you don't have to damage the seats. The arm rests are actually e34 ones because they have better mechanisum One of my...

Yes the seats fold.
I think the convertible ones would match better with the horizontal stitching, but these were free.

Re: Alternative Front Seats - Later E24 (1987)
I have Manual e30 sport seats.
They are a bit narrower than e24 seats but they look nice in the car.
They don't bolt straight in but the bolts are parallel so a super simple adapter is all you need to make one side reach.

I have been looking too. I think I am just going to end up making one.
If I could get my hands on one I could mold it though!

That groove will be the hardest part of the scan since the gasket is floppy.

Re: Group interest - rear light frame seals
Considered the scanning the gasket is quite loose and floppy so I am not sure how to go about holding it in place.
I think the best option would be to take measurements and model it.

Re: Front Headliner Cover Resto
There is a relay that controls the sunroof motor.
it has a mounting tab on the side of it and this replaces that screw with a new one that's longer and screws in there.
Seems to work without interference with the motor.

I designed a part that takes the place of the sunroof motor access panel.
It bolts onto the mount for the sunroof relay and pulls the panel up.

I ended up wiping mine down with 99% alcohol which worked well for me. Removed all the weirdness and left a good black base with a bit of texture.
I thought about painting but did not want to screw up.

Re: Location of A/C blower transistor
if you are replacing it, do two things to greatly increase the life of it.
Thermal compound between the transistor and metal. and use a beefier transistor. I went through hell until I used a beefier one for the heater transistor.

Re: odometer and radio
My speakers stuck out slightly. I ended up using the risers form the rear speakers on an e21. Which worked great until I put my glovebox back on and realized it didn't open without hitting it. I took a reckless risk and cut a notch out of the glovebox that was hitting it. You cant see it so I don't ...

Might be worth doing. I seem to be having no issues right now, but I heard this radio can be a bit picky about voltage drop. LED's would certainly help.

Re: WTB - under hood light assembly and/or just the lens
It certainly is not perfect. but they work well and the whole project cost me 5 dollars. Hell of a lot better than the 100 it would cost to put in two lights in the hood. Now the most important question. Will they hold up to the heat. Engine hits 85˚c and can heat up to 95+ after driving and parking...

I have the Vertical stripe e30 seats in my car. I think those are the Recaro ones.
I have a simple adapter I made with flat bar and a welded bolt. Surely the bolt pattern is the same for all e30 seats?
