Very nice. Brakes look impressive. I'm getting ready to do CV Boots and dogbones. Plan to replace the small brake lines while at it if the look bad.

The fed is the equivalent of a house painter, they paint the policy pig and to that point inflation The control the money supply and since Inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon they have some good levers to control it. under biden has reached levels not seen since jimmy carter. Re: President Donald J Trump makes history...

Jlc, You can give them the true facts all day long, they'll never believe the facts or they'll change the subject. I live 20 miles from NYC--a shithole I left in 1971. Republican mayors clean it up, Democratic mayors make it turn to shit again. So the cycle never ends. I've always found it to be a ...

Re: President Donald J Trump makes history...

Agreed, presidents don't control prices when it comes to nickles and pennies but their policies do influence direction True. If biden was serious about controlling inflation, his first actions in January wouldn't have been to impose restrictions on the industry. Actually, the Fed tries to control i...

Re: President Donald J Trump makes history...

You're working hard to defend an indefensible position and most of your post doesn't warrant a reply. Why, because everything I have said was factually correct. Let's start by standardizing the prices used...this is from the DOE and gives monthly averages, back to 1994. December 2020 gas was 2.555 ...

Re: President Donald J Trump makes history...

For the sake of discussion, let's say gas with the economy in full swing was 2.99 on 12/31/2019 The economy was no where near in full swing then. and some 6 months into a still restricted biden presidency it's 3.22. That's a 9% difference in 6 months...and in many states, like the liberal shithole ...

Objectivity usually finds the correct answer, agenda...Not so much. This is from Factcheck.org and is based on data available from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It is true that inflation-adjusted wages (average weekly for production and nonsupervisory workers) peaked in February 1973 at $345.95, ...

Re: President Donald J Trump makes history...

The fact is that 2019 gas prices were far less the today's prices and that was with our economy running full tilt, not hobbled state we're in today. In 2019 gas prices peaked at just under $3 and are just above $3 today. That's hardly far less and they didn't tank until the economy did. Inflation s...

Re: President Donald J Trump makes history...

key point is that Trump kept inflation in check while increasing middle-class HHI. something that neither obama or biden can claim. If fact, you may remember obama saying those jobs were not coming back. One reason, and probably the main reason, gas prices and inflation were low was the pandemic ba...

Tailight Refurbishment

I had planned to get mine redone but cannot seem to get the housings out and did not want to risk damaging the gasket and winding up with a leak where there was none. WAGNER 3497 vs Honda 34903-SF1-A01bulb

Anyone have any experience with the WAGNER 3497 bulb in their taillights? It's a 15BS base, 45CP 27W bulb. The Honda 34903-SF1-A01 seems to be a preferred replacement for stock bulbs.

Re: Taillight bulb holder removal.

Thanks. It's just a small piece of brass that I could make from stock, but the existing hole just needs to be reamed out to fit a universal holder so I may just do that. Plus, I then have a set of functional Euro buckets as well. May just resilver those and run wires.

Taillight bulb holder removal.

I am pulling the bulb holders from a spare set of Euro front turn signal buckets to put in the open tailight spot in the rear. The holder came out easily once I found the holding clip, but for the life of me cannot remove the metal strip that contacts the bulb center pin. It wiggles but something is...

I wouldn't. It doesn't seem to cutout under normal operation and a higher temp would risk transistor damage or worse.

Re: What is the part number?

My guess it is not sold individually simply because the wire is cheap and it is easier to replace that rather than try to fit a grommet. On solution might be to by a regular grommet from an electrical supply / hobby shop and fit it over the wire and into the hole. If the ID is a little to big in ord...

Re: Location of A/C blower transistor - Found and fixed - DIY

Yes, of course now the blower motor as started squealing so I'll probably oil I for a short term fix. One thing I would have done different is wrap the resistor wires around the transistor before installing it and tinning the, That way I could slide the resistor over the pins once the transistor was...
