Required Smog Certificate

Don't let the seller give you the smog certificate. YOU should take the car to get the smog check done. If the car does not pass, the seller is legally required to get the repairs done. Any necessary repairs to pass smog are not the buyer's responsibility. This applies to sellers and buyers in Calif...

I have five BMW motorcycles that I ride almost daily. '66 /2 (Black) with a Steib TR500 Sidecar and tansplanted 1000 CC...

Very sad to see the results of being hit from behind. Too bad the crumple zone acts to total our cars. I would guess that an inordinate number of rear end hits are due to the dismal brake lights common to the 6ers. Namely due to paint overspray dulling the reflective bulb recesses, and the fact that...

It does sound kind of painful.

What's worse is that it may have been unintentional.

It looked too coincidental, especially since moving might trigger the need for something Harbor Freight might carry. I have no recollection of the current wheel or brake set-up on the suspect car. There can't be that many pristine Cinnabar Red M6s with a near perfect interior in the SF bay area, so ...

Pacific Sharkfest, Sep 28 to Oct 1, 2011 Hotel Room Deadline

We were able to negotiate a very favorable room rate at the Carmel Mission Inn, the headquarters for this year's PSF. The room block we reserved will expire on September 8, 2011, and it will NOT be extended. If you are planning to attend this year's Pacific Sharkfest, and do not reserve your hotel r...

I only made one post before on this thread, and that was 3? years ago! I could not take part in the poll because even then my age was off the scale. It would have been nice if the age range on the poll went in 10 year increments to include the ages into the 90s. The reason is that there are many of ...

BMW Motorcycles

These are photos of my newest and oldest BMW Motorcycles. The sidecar bike is a 1966, originally a R60/2. I added the sidecar after riding it solo. Bought used in 1971. The newest I bought new in 1999. I have three others: 1973? R75/5 White Toaster Tank, 1977 R100/7 Havana Gold, and a 1988 R100RT Be...

If anyone does not have the courtesty to give their location, cars they own, and other basic information, it reflects on them.

I don't consider anything they post as genuine.
