Hey guys I’m new to the forum and haven’t posted here before as I don’t have an e24, I have an e28 that I’m inserting a worked S38B35 into, this brought me to the issue of the thermostat housing being NLA, so I managed to track down a brand new thermostat housing from Germany and I plan to have a mould made to cast some quantities in aluminium, I’m hoping to be able to supply these at 450 usd delivered and right now just want to get a gauge on demand before I can decide to pull the trigger on it.
Reply here or to my email [email protected] if you like, I will post also on the yahoo board and please suggest if there are other groups/audiences I can propose this to.
Thanks,
Neil Gibbons

Korman Racing has some modified housings that were made to be used with Weber Carb setups. I don't know what you need to modify for but you might check them out

Hey guys, I will have for sale the next batch in a few weeks, the first two are completed and sold. Price for both pieces will be 500usd shipped, if a group wanted a number of 3 or more I could do them at 450 each as we could group the shipping.

Ok folks,
Soooo....... what do we think is the absolute maximum temperature that the thermostat housing could experience? Let's assume there actually is coolant in the system, but the car has just plain overheated. How high do we think the mounting surfaces of the front cover would spike to? How about radiant heat?
