I’ve had a rough count up and reckon that in the ‘sale’ section there are 17 examples which have been flagged up for sale this year. I can think of at least three others which have not been mentioned on this forum. That is a high percentage of the original production run of 524 (or you could say 522 to be strictly accurate). But an even higher figure if one takes the ‘how many left’ figure for the UK which shows 84 licensed and 171 SORN-ed. A total of only 255 which I reckon is pretty accurate, but there may be a few that have been off the road for decades which will not be included. And few exported to Oz, NZ & other parts of the Far East. So at best, only some 50% extant.
So the turnover just this year alone is approaching 10%

I know of 27 RHD cars that are in Aus, NZ, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Canada. But I've an idea that there are about another dozen or so in Australia....And few exported to Oz, NZ & other parts of the Far East. So at best, only some 50% extant.

Useful numbers. So let's say there are about 300 left Worldwide. That equates to c. 57% - not bad, considering the youngest example is now nearly 32 years old and many are more than 37 years old!
Anyway, the fact remains that out of the UK 'cohort' of 524 motors, a significant number of survivors have been offered for sale in the past 12 months!

Absolutely, although I'm really talking about the UK market here specifically and possibly all RHD cars in general. I know prices for LHD cars are likely to be different, as many more were produced; 524 Right-hand .vs. 5331 Left-hand - which should make the average RHD car more valuable!
